I had an image of a girl in a fancy dress (prolly the award season sneaking in). But I also had the image of these tentacles sneaking out from under (not sure where that came from). This was supposed to be one of my "Quick Illos", more of an exercise, but I did three versions, playing around with texture and coloring styles. One I'm turning into a T-shirt submission.

Artlink's Toy and Book Illustration Show

Going to be a fine show of art over at Artlink in Fort Wayne coming up.  They are sporting a Toy And Book Illustration Show.  Work featured in books and with books and toys as the theme.  I have some work from my RocketBoy book in the show as well as local illustrators and artists.  I'll be selling copies of the book at the show, too.

Livi and The Imps Sketch

One of the sketches that was waiting for color so patiently has been rewarded with color. Well, I hope it was a reward and not a miserable failure. Still working out color schemes and toning. I want the books to have a monochromatic look with a blue tone. Not quite sure this is the exact look but it's a start. Still figuring a look for the texture, too. I don't want to get too fancy as there are people who do it better and that's not quite the look I want.
