Hoot!

A poster design with owls in it. I'm not sure why, but I felt I needed to make it. Vector art practice, using simple shapes and Charley Harper as an influence.
The first one is fairly straight up. The second is meant to look kind of like a woodcut.
Don't like the tree as much in the second.

Sketch Cards

The Summit City Comic Con is coming. They sent out sketch cards for the exhibiting artists. I started mine this weekend.

A bit of ironic that I got the new that I was that I was getting the cards the day after my good friend Tim suggested I should try my hand at drawing some.

Zap and Zip, but Wait....

L is for Lasers! But, they lack an effect on the
lifeless forms as RocketBoy looks for a launch-
ing place to take leave of this haunted liner.

But, wait! L is also for Loneliness! The specters
have no family left to love them out here in the
long vacuum.

I've self-published my book RocketBoy and the Space
Ghosts through Lulu.com. You can access my page and
purchase a copy here.

Jets!

J is for Jetpack as RocketBoy jabs the controls
in an attempt jettison himself from the jarring
situation. “Jeepers, this is a jam!” RocketBoy
shouts as the spirits jostle the lad, jangling his
nerves.
K is for KZZZT! and KKRRKKLL! as the ghosts
briefly interfere with RocketBoy’s electronic
systems. Then KLUNK! when they kick back in.

!!!!!

G is also for Ghosts! Space Ghosts!
H is also for Haunted! “Head for the hills!”
RocketBoy says to himself.

I is for Interstellar poltergeists interrupting
RocketBoy’s inspection of the vessel. “Interloper!”
they seem to intone to the intrepid young explorer.
